A big WAY TO GO to Prince George’s Alyx Treasure. The PGTF Alumni won the gold medal in high jump at the North America, Central America & Carribean Under 23 Track Championships in Kamloops. The event featured some of the best under-23 athletes in the world representing 31 countries.
In front of family and friends she cleared the bar at 1.85 metre beating her next competitor, Shanay Briscoe of the U-S who took thje silver with a jump of 1.76m. Canada’s Rebecca Haworth was third. A team of 38 Canadian athletes competed at the 2014 NACAC under-23 Championships. PG’s Alyx Treasure was one of ten BC athletes who competed in their home province.
