Posted on February 2, 2022

The Prince George Track & Field club is proud to announce the hiring of Ross Browne, who will be serving as the head coach for the club in all disciplines. Ross came to Prince George from the Langley Mustangs, where he served as head coach for the junior development program, and assistant coach to the high school program for four years. Ross has run both our high jump and distance programs over the past few seasons.

Coach Ross is a level 2 certified coach in endurance, a level 2 trained coach in all events, as well as a level 1 certified coach in all events. Ross is also a trained learning facilitator for BC athletics, and has previously been selected as a coach for team BC. Ross currently sits on the board for BC Junior Development track and field representing zone 8 (Prince George area).

Ross has a BA in Sociology from TWU, a diploma in Police Studies from the RCMP “Depot” Academy, and is currently working on a Kinesiology Diploma at CNC here in Prince George.

Coach Ross is excited to move the club forward with brand new programming, a greater emphasis on skill development, making athletes competitive for team selection and promoting coach education within the club.

PGTF is thrilled with the changes and energy Coach Ross has brought to the club, our platform and delivery thus far.
