MASTER ATHLETE VISITS FROM SOUTH AFRICA

Dereck Sterley and his wife Marie recently travelled from Pretoria South Africa to visit family in Prince George.  Dereck, a master athlete in all throwing events, contacted the PGTF looking for  training company.  During their stay, Dereck and Marie visited with local master athletes to share adventures and techniques.  Dereck also met with a few local athletes at Masich Place Stadium to do a bit of throwing.  The Sterleys enjoyed meeting with local Masters group and have extended an invitation for all to visit  South Africa and compete in a  Masters track and field meet.  Dereck and local athlete Thomas Ukonmaanaho are hoping to meet again at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Toronto in 2020.
