TRACK AND FIELD IS MORE THAN RUNNING.
A TRACK AND FIELD CLUB IS MORE THAN RUNNING SHOES.
Did you know….
– there are 5 different throwing events in track and field?
– there are 2 vertical and 2 horizontal jump events?
– there is a plethora of different running distances: sprints, middle and long?
– there are 9 different age categories in ATHLETICS, each with its own sized equipment for every event?
And let’s not forget those crazy events like steeple chase and hurdles! And then there are competitions that need cameras, computers, tents, wind gauges, display units…need I go on? So, do a little math in your head and you’ll understand that it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep a track club “running” smoothly!
The Prince George Track and Field Club has been providing athletics equipment and competition opportunities to northern BC athletes, from ages 6 to 106, for over 50 years! We could not have done it without the amazing support and generosity of this wonderful community. As we head into the second half of our century, the club is in need of sponsors and donors to help us upgrade some of the older equipment that is showing its age. Whether you can spare $5, $500, or $5000 doesn’t matter. Hit the donate button at the top of the screen or contact Elena (pgtfmeetandequip@gmail.com) to discuss sponsorship opportunities within the club. The lengthy list below will give you an idea of where your dollars are needed.
