Once again we were blessed with two great days of weather.

Thanks to all the folks from out of town that travelled to the meet.

A big thank you to all the folks that volunteered their time and energy to put on the meet.

See you at the meet next year or maybe sooner at the Jack Brow meet in Kelowna, the JD meet in Kamloops or the Jamboree in Abbotsford.

Spruce Capital Meet

Here is the meet package.  The main meet will be June 11 & 12.  On Friday evening before the meet we will have a track rascal mini meet so there will be no events for the track rascals in the Spruce Capital meet.

The meet events file is now posted below.

Updated: MONDAY JUNE 6TH.  The new schedule reflects a change in 60m sprint for 9-11 year olds, and removal of the triple jump for 12 and under age groups as per the new event changes.

NCD High school track meet May 19th & 20th

The results are now up on the results page.

Here is the information for the meet.  You will need to do your entries using the hytek team manager software.  If you used it last year you do not need to download the team manager lite software again.  Just download and import the hytek “meet events”  file posted here.  Most of your athletes will already be in your database you only need to add new athletes.  When you are done, email your entry file back to me and I will send you a confirmation.  Don’t worry about sending in what you think is the absolute final version of your entries.  Once you have a pretty good idea of your athletes and their events send that.   Deletions/changes are very easy.  Late entries are a real problem.

Sub Zero results

Pretty decent weather, nearly 150 entries and a lot of help from volunteers to run the meet made for a great day.

Thanks to all the people that gave up some of their weekend to run the meet.

Thanks to all the folks that travelled to compete in the meet.

See you at the High school meet in three weeks or later at the Spruce Capital.

Check the results on the results page.

Sub Zero entries.

Just a reminder that your entries for the Sub Zero meet are due by Wednesday evening.  You MUST preregister.  There is no day of event registration.

If you didn’t see it in the Free Press, here is an article about the meet.

Sub-Zero meet gets Prince George track season back on track

Although season start-up for track and field has been slow, the Sub Zero Meet is a go.

But below-seasonal spring temperatures haven’t left the field at Masich Place Stadium in optimal shape. As a result, the Prince George Track and Field Club has made adjustments regarding the meet, scheduled for April 30.

Happy Easter

For those that can make it we will have a practise Monday night.

Sub Zero Meet

I have attached the information for the sub zero meet.  The infield has just cleared of snow and is not open yet so we are limiting the activity on it.  Therefore we are not including the shot put which would likely damage the grass quite a bit at this point. Hopefully the 11 am start time works better for out of town teams.  If nothing it should allow the temperature to rise some before we get started.

We are doing pre-registrations and using photo-timing and meet manager software to run the meet.  That way we can produce results.  It also means that entries must be in by the deadline so that the meet can be setup (seeded etc) on the computer in advance of the meet.  If you really have troubles, or you are not attached to a club, just email me your entries.  This will be a warm-up for the Spruce Capital meet in which you will use the team manager software to do your entries.  Pg track athletes will register at the track practises next week.

Due to the numerous event changes there are many variations on the short and mid-distance races.  For example, the 400m is now 200m, 300m and 400m depending on the age of the runner.

If you have any questions feel free to send me an email.
